Other Heating and Boiler Services Available
In addition to being the premier boiler installers Hampshire has to offer, we also provide a wide range of other heating and boiler services too. We want to make sure every client is provided with the very best service and that they have everything they need for their system to work optimally. This is why we provide these other services, including:
Warm Air
Warm Air is an alternative to other more traditional heating methods, and it offers superb warmth along with efficiency and reliability. There are many benefits to investing in Warm Air, such as speedy warm up times. Plus, as you won’t need radiators, you will find there won’t be any pipes to freeze in the winter months, ensuring a reliable system and operation.
Warm Air provides low carbon emissions and low operating noise levels, along with more filtration options than central heating. You can opt for additional filters, such as for those who suffer with asthma.
Additionally, we at Gasworks are one of the only businesses in the area who work with Johnson and Starley to replace and maintain existing warm air heating systems. We have access to genuine spare parts and an excellent knowledge of the systems.
Water Heaters
We provide instantaneous multipoint water heaters, which offer an instant supply of hot water, 24 hours a day. These systems eliminate the need for a hot water cylinder and are a compact and efficient solution as they only heat the water you use.
These water heaters are available in either balanced flue or fan flued applications, allowing for installation in many different locations. They are ideal for baths, bathrooms, washing machines, kitchens, and dishwashers and are often used in homes and commercial properties that have a high demand for hot water.
Cylinders
If you have a regular boiler system installed, you will need to have a cylinder installed where you can store your hot water, ready for use on showers, baths, and for the kitchen. You need to make sure you choose the correct cylinder for your system, which will be based on your home set-up, available space, and how much water you use in a typical day.
We provide vented and unvented hot water cylinders, with vented being the most common. These are made of copper and are filled with cold water from a storage tank. A vent pipe will link the vented hot water cylinder and the cold water storage tank. Hot water will be directed around the home by gravity, meaning the hot water pressure will vary according to the height of the water tank above the taps, showers, etc. sometimes houses with vented cylinders incorporate an electric pump to increase the water pressure.
Unvented cylinders don’t require a cold water tank as the hot water cylinder is supplied directly from the cold water mains. Water pressure tends to be better with the use of an unvented cylinder and, while they aren’t as affordable, they do offer some key benefits. The cylinder can be located anywhere in the home as you don’t need gravity to move the hot water around.
Controls
Every boiler system needs the correct controls, as this not only makes your system easier to control, but also makes sure you save on your monthly bills. Boiler and heating controls help ensure you only use your system when you actually need it, and these controls range from timers and programmes to a programmable room thermostat and thermostatic radiator valve.
A timer allows you to set times for your central heating system, and your heating and hot water will always be on at the same time. A programmer, however, gives you the ability to set different times for your heating and hot water, meaning you can have one on without the other.
A programmable room thermostat allows you to set the temperature in each room individually at any time throughout the day. These controls maintain a temperature throughout the house, so the system simply ‘tops up’ the heat rather than heating the entire house in one go.
A thermostatic radiator valve allows you to have control of each room’s temperature, allowing you to consider the heating required for commonly used rooms and less commonly used rooms.
Radiators
Radiators are one of the most crucial elements in any central heating system, so you need to choose the right radiators for your system and property. There are lots of different sizes and styles to choose from, and we can help you pick the correct radiators for your home and where is best to locate them for maximum efficiency. We offer conventional single and double radiators, designer panel radiators, traditional cast iron radiators, and chrome towel rails to name a few.
Fires and Fireplaces
In addition to providing the best services for boilers and heating systems, we can also provide a wide range of services for fires and fireplaces.
Gas Fires
Many homeowners wish to have a gas fire installed, and the type of gas fire you choose depends on the type of chimney you have, if you have one, along with the set up of your home. We have a large selection of gas fires to choose from and can advise you on the best solution for your requirements and property.
Gas fires are efficient and affordable, and they allow you to enjoy many of the benefits of a real fire without the hassle. For example, you can choose a flame effect gas fire, which provides the same ‘live’ flame effect, provide great heat output, and are affordable. We also provide traditional gas fires with our simple and efficient radiant convector fires.
Electric Fires
Electric fires combine beautiful design with efficient functionality, and we have a wide range of electric fires you can choose from. They ensure your home stays warm, and these fires look great too.
Electric fires are ideal for homes without a chimney as they are simply plugged in. They can be designed within a fireplace opening or fastened directly onto a wall, or they can simply be freestanding.
Solid Fuel Fires
Solid fuel fires have increased in popularity in recent years as people look to achieve a real flame fire. They complement both traditional and contemporary interiors and are a great addition to any property that has a chimney.
These fires are available in a range of sizes, styles, and finishes, from cast iron through to modern steel and they typically come with two features; a grate allowing you to burn coal, and an ash pan required for burning wood.
Fireplaces
When choosing a fireplace, it is important you choose one that matches your requirements and your interior décor, which is something we can help with at Gasworks. There are a wide range of styles, sizes, and finishes to choose from, including Victorian, contemporary, and bespoke.
